Thanksgiving in February

This party was a chance for us to give thanks for the incredible support we had (and have continually!) received from our volunteers and donors during our first two years of operation. People came together to meet other "Forklift Fans", enjoyed some winter cheer, and celebrated just how far we'd come!
The party was held Tuesday, February 19th, 6:30pm-8:30pm, at the Bladensburg Town Visitor Center, just a few minutes from Community Forklift. We served a Thanksgiving buffet, thanks in large part to our incredibly generous donors--Whole Foods Market of Silver Spring, My Organic Market (MOMs) of College Park, and Schneider's of Capitol Hill - Fine Wine and Spirits.
Later in the evening, we passed out superlative awards for our wonderful, dedicated volunteers. Live banjo music was provided throughout the evening by our former truckdriver, Chris Milmoe.
Thanksgiving in February was an evening to toast our supporters, our friends, and our success. Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in the planning (especially volunteer Lisa Ogle!!), to our donors, and to everyone who attended!
